Our artist was inspired by the ancient Finke River in Central Australia, a source of life for Aboriginal people living in the desert. After the rains, there is a chance for fun and fishing, while the colours streaming from the River also reflect changes in the landscape.
Each Design is a commissioned piece of art created by Kathleen Buzzacott. Portraying memories of her life growing up in remote Central Australia, her artwork shares the stories of the land that have been passed down through generations of Aboriginal people, the rituals of daily life gathering food as well as celebrating the indigenous wildlife and Australian Bush.
This Finke River candle holder is hand-made from glass and a layer of clay then beautifully gift boxed with a story card inside. The clay allows the candle flame to illuminate through and radiate the magnificent colours of the designs, captivating any space when using one of our tealights.
